InterContinental

WellChild is the Park Lane hotel’s nominated Charity of the Year.  InterContinental is part of the IHG Hotel group and was the venue for the annual WellChild Awards ceremony in 2009 and will be again for 2010. 

Staff from the luxury 5 star hotel volunteered to take part in a WellChild Helping Hands project in January 2010, transforming a sick child’s garden in East London to brighten up her environment.  The hotel has also held a staff auction in aid of WellChild, all as part of InterContinental’s Charity of the Year activities.    

 

Assocation of Corporate Treasurers (ACT)

The Association of Corporate Treasurers has selected WellChild as its 2010 Charity of the Year partner for a second consecutive year. 

 

The ACT is the leading professional body for international treasury providing the widest scope of benchmark qualifications for those working in treasury, risk and corporate finance.

St James' Place

The wealth management firm has made a donation towards funding the WellChild Nurse based in Cardiff.  The company is committed to helping WellChild ensure seriously sick children can leave hospital as soon as possible and be cared for at home.

It is through the generosity and fundraising activities of Partners and staff that St James' Place raise funds to support charities helping childrena nd young people each year - these funds are then matched by the Company.

 

Oil Aid

WellChild is the beneficiary partner of the 2010 Oil Aid Football tournament charity day in May 2010.

Oil Aid is the Oil and Shipping Industries 7 a side football tournament, held each year at Stamford Bridge in aid of charity.

 

YCO

Yacht management and consultancy company, YCO, based in Monaco have supported WellChild since 2007 through the London Marathon.  Year after year, their team of runners have pounded the streets of London raising nearly £110,000. 

 

Industrial Agents Society (IAS)

The Industrial Agents Society has decided to help sick children and their families throughout the UK   by making WellChild its Charity of the Year for 2010.

The IAS is Europe’s largest professional body of advisers and consultants that specialise in industrial, distribution and related logistics real estate.

Throughout the year members of the IAS across the country will be undertaking fundraising in order to help WellChild with its programme of care support and research for seriously ill children across the UK.

 

Whiteoaks Consultancy

WellChild is the technology PR consultancy’s Charity of the Year for 2010.  Whiteoaks have committed to taking part in five Helping Hands projects within the year.  Staff at Whiteoaks are participating in sponsored challenge events throughout the year.

High street fashion giant Next has supported WellChild since 2006 and continue to do so, including sponsorship for WellChild Awards, donations, gifts in kind and fundraising events.

 

PricewaterhouseCoopers

Financial firm PricewaterhouseCoopers has kindly agreed to support WellChild again this year as a beneficiary of two prestigious industry awards. The professional and financial services firm has supported WellChild for 11 years through their PLC Awards and the techMark Awards evening.

NFU Mutual - Cheltenham

The insurance provider’s branch in Cheltenham have chosen WellChild as a Charity of the Year partner.  NFU Mutual in Cheltenham launched the partnership with a donation to WellChild and are also sponsoring Walk for WellChild.  In addition, for at least a month in 2010 NFU Mutual – Cheltenham will donate £5 from every policy sold to WellChild.

 

Simply Supplements

Simply Supplements, one of the most rapidly expanding mail order and online vitamins and minerals companies in the UK, have made WellChild their Charity of the Year partner.  Simply Supplements are currently donating £1 to WellChild from every sale of their new and exclusive hematite magnetic bracelet.  

WellChild and Simply Supplements will also be actively exploring a variety of other ways in working together to raise vital funds such as staff fundraising activities and other product related promotions.

SSL International

The company responsible for the Durex and Scholl brands has committed to providing staff volunteers for a series of Helping Hands projects throughout the year.  SSL staff will be demonstrating the company’s socially responsible by taking part in makeovers of sick children’s bedrooms and gardens to improve their quality of life.     

 

Everyman Theatre, Cheltenham

WellChild are The Everyman Theatre’s Charity of the Year.  The theatre will focus its main fundraising efforts through collections during the festive pantomime season during 2010 in addition to providing various gifts-in-kind and PR opportunities.

 

Aldi

The value grocers provide WellChild with numerous gifts-in-kind donations including auction and raffle prizes.

 

Great Value Jewellery

Great Value Jewellery is supporting WellChild by donating £1 from every customer order placed on its www.CuffsnCollars.co.uk website. Great Value Jewellery is a chain of online stores which offers a wide variety of quality jewellery to the public at affordable prices.

WellChild is delighted to have been chosen as David Lloyd Leisure's nominated charity.

David Lloyd Leisure is the UK's leading racquets, health and fitness group with 78 clubs across the country, and they will be running several national events over the coming year to raise funds in support ofWellChild's work with seriously ill children and their families.

 

Makro

WellChild was proud to be Makro’s Charity of the Year for 2008.  Makro is a leading cash and carry retailer, and we are grateful to staff and customers at the company’s 33 UK stores for their support. The stores were actively involved in a range of fundraising activities including:

  • an in-store marathon run on treadmills by staff at the Cardiff branch
  • fun days where staff underwent sponsored head shaves and body waxing!
  • A round the UK motorbike challenge visiting as many Makro stores as possible in 60 hours.
