Helping Hands

When you're caring for a sick child, re-decorating a room or adapting a garden can seem like climbing a mountain - there just aren't enough hours in the day. With the help of brilliant volunteers from many companies, we organise hands-on projects to help sick children and their families in truly practical ways.

Recently, we completed a room makeover in Somerset for a family desperately needing a more practical and stimulating space for their son Isaac to live in. Volunteers from Accenture travelled from as far afield as Oxford, Manchester and even Amsterdam to help transform Isaac's day-to-day existence by giving him a bright and stimulating environment to thrive in. "Helping Hands offers an exceptional opportunity for companies to give some instant benefit to the lives of the many seriously ill children we have the privilege of helping."

Take a look at some of the wonderful quotes from families who have received Helping Hands support:

“We are so pleased with the outcome of the project, to have done so much work in so little time is amazing.  We have not seen Abir respond to his surroundings so positively for 2 years, he is reaching and touching and looking all the time, it is amazing, thank you so much.”

“Thank You Thank You, I would like to say a big thank you to you and your team for the amazing job that they have done. Bashir loves his room very much. I will always be very happy to give you any publicity you require. “

“Fantastic – everything was so well organised – and everyone was so helpful.”

“It exceeded my expectations because so many little extras were done as well, the main rooms are fantastic and we are all thrilled."

“It will make a huge difference to family life – Isaac will be able to move from room to room easily and will be able to join in everything we are doing."
