Shiloh and Elijah's story

Eight and nine year old brothers Shiloh and Elijah from Mitcham, Surrey both have Autism, Dyspraxia, Tourettes and ADHD which causes many problems for boys. The brothers are in need constant supervision which is mainly given by their mum, Veronica who is their full time carer.

The family called for the assistance of the WellChild Helping Hands team as their outdoor space was in desperate need of some care and attention and was completely unsuitable for Shiloh and Elijah to use.

The energetic team made up of volunteers from tool technology PR specialists, Whiteoaks wanted to create an area for the boys to spend time outside in an environment where Veronica could be sure that they could be safe as well as have fun.

In a day the ground was transformed by laying down soft furnishing and the Elijah and Shiloh’s love of space was included with a brightly coloured mural on one of the walls showing a rocket blasting off from earth towards the stars.

Veronica Frost, Shiloh and Elijah's mum said: "Thank you so very much for completely transforming our garden. My son’s are so excited about playing in their new space and they now consider it as their own as the spaceship on the mural even has their initials on it. It’s just fabulous – thanks again to all the team. ”
