Health Advisory Panels - Dr Helen Bedford

Helen Bedford is a Senior Lecturer in Children’s Health in the Centre for Paediatric Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the Institute of Child Health, University College London. Helen trained and practised as a nurse and then a health visitor before joining ICH. Her main research interests are factors affecting uptake of childhood immunisation. Her PhD focussed on the long term effects of meningitis in children under one year of age. She chairs the working group which oversees developments in the Personal Child Health record (red book).
