We are delighted to announce the launch of #notanurse_but, a parent-driven campaign that is shining a light on life providing high levels of medical care to children with complex health needs at home.

Five ways to get involved

1. Share your story – publicly or privately

Tell us and the world about your experiences providing high levels of care to your child, your frustrations and what needs to change.  Share your story, pictures and videos on social media using the hashtag #notanurse_but, or simply tell us privately by signing up via the #notanurse_but web page, or via email to notanurse_but@wellchild.org.uk.

2. ADD #NOTANURSE_BUT TO YOUR PROFILE PIC

Register your support on Twibbon and get a #notanurse_but logo added to your Facebook and Twitter profile pics.

3. Like our Facebook Campaign Page

We have set up a special campaign page on Facebook, which you can use to follow the campaign and share your stories.

4. RETWEET, LIKE AND SHARE THE HASHTAG

Help us create a louder voice by sharing, re-tweeting and liking the stories of others using the #notanurse_but hashtag across Twitter and Facebook.

5. TELL YOUR FRIENDS, FAMILY AND WIDER NETWORKS

We have a host of materials including posters, postcards, bookmarks, email and letter templates available to help you spread the word within your local community and with local health professionals and decision makers. Request them via email to notanurse_but@wellchild.org.uk

Here is a blog written by one of our parents and you will see just why we are running this campaign.  Faith is #notanurse_but …..
