Mountain Rescue Day for WellChild Families

Posted on the 3rd August 2016

Recently WellChild families attended a Mountain Rescue Day at Holcombe Moor Amy Training Camp in Bury Lancashire which was hosted by Bolton, Bowland Pennine, Calder Valley, Holme Valley and Rossendale & Pendle Mountain Rescue Teams. Our families were kept very busy with a whole range of activities including zip wires and swings, search dog demonstrations, and off road driving experiences. Everyone who attended had a great day:

“Just the most fabulous day at the Princes Charity Event from WellChild and Mountain Rescue. All the volunteers couldn’t do enough to make our day great. The boys had a lot of fun and it was so nice to meet up with friends old and new. Thanks for a great day.”

“Thank you for a great day. It was so great to get the boys out and give them such wonderful opportunities. My son would love to be a mountain rescue 4×4 driver and he loved the dogs. Everything was perfect and the volunteers were just amazing, they couldn’t do enough. I felt quite humbled by the whole experience. Thanks again.”

The event was a fun family day out and enabled everyone to take part in new and exciting experiences. A great day was had by all who attended the event.
