Parent Ambassadors support WellChild across the UK

Posted on the 19th June 2017

Our Parent Ambassadors have been busy representing WellChild across the UK, at schools, organising family get togethers, and highlighting the work we are doing to support families to corporate supporters. Here they are in action…..

Leanne Cooper represented WellChild at a St George’s Day luncheon at the Dorchester hotel in London, organised by Peter for the Printing Paper Publishing Industries. Leanne spoke openly about her experiences of being a parent of a child with exceptional health needs and why WellChild is so important to her family. The attendees were extremely touched by the journey Leanne and her family have been through and are hoping to exceed their target of raising £20,000 for WellChild during the event.

Jill Evans organised a fabulous family meet up at her local Circus Starr show in Huddersfield on 28th April. Everyone agreed that the minions were the stars of the show.

Craig Hatch was invited to a cheque presentation at Gosforth Primary School in Seascale, Cumbria, where pupils had taken part in their local Bright Sparks competition. Not only did the school raise a whopping £1,000 for WellChild but they were the winners of the Most Profitable Business category. Well done Gosforth Primary.

If you are interested in becoming a parent ambassador for WellChild and would like to help us by arranging a meet-up in your area, raising awareness of our work with families or even holding a fundraising event, then please contact Catherine at familynetworks@wellchild.org.uk
