Great support from Target

A year of fundraising to mark the 40th anniversary of Cheltenham-based communications agency, Target, has culminated in the handover of £7,500 to WellChild.

The ten-strong team organised a host of fundraising events during 2017 to celebrate 40 years in business, and the result is a huge total being donated to the national charity for sick children.

Including a bacon roll delivery service, golf day and a summer Pimm’s event, the team threw themselves into the fundraising, receiving help and support from local businesses and clients along the way.

“It’s fair to say we’ve all thoroughly enjoyed our year of fundraising for WellChild and it’s been a fitting way to celebrate our 40th birthday,” said Target’s Chief Executive, Sarah Bryars. “To have raised such a huge amount is the icing on the cake and we’re thrilled to be ending our milestone birthday year by handing over the money we’ve raised.

“Throughout this year, we’ve been able to learn more about the important work WellChild does to enable seriously ill children and young people to live at home with their families. We’d like to say a big thank you to everyone that has supported us this year and helped us raise much needed funds.”

“Christmas is a tough time of year for families with seriously ill children and we are delighted to receive this support from Target who have been fantastic supporters of WellChild this year,” said Colin Dyer, Chief Executive of WellChild. “With their help we can  improve the lives of seriously ill children and their families across the UK, not just at Christmas but all through the year.”
