Please donate today to help children create special memories this Christmas

"To see pure joy and excitement in their eyes was beautiful - a memory we will cherish forever”

Kobie's Mum, Roxanne

Many families with children who have complex health needs find it almost impossible to spend quality time together. With Christmas drawing ever nearer, many of us are looking forward to getting together with friends and family and creating much needed happy memories.

For children like Kobie...

For families like Kobie’s, spending quality time together isn’t easy. Kobie’s medical conditions make it hard for the family to take part in activities. There are many doctors and consultants that help to manage Kobie's care. In one week they can have as many as 15 hospital appointments. Kobie's complex requirements mean mum Roxanne, and Darrell, must make difficult decisions, often leading to disappointment all round.

The COVID-19 pandemic has only made it more difficult – day trips involve lots of planning and three family holidays have been cancelled. Even a simple trip to the cinema which many of us take for granted comes with difficulties.

This year, several families WellChild support attended a special horse-riding event. This event enabled all siblings to take part and enjoy time with the horses. This was the first time that Kobie and his sisters had been able to take part in an activity together.

Please consider a donation of £25 today to help more families spend time together this Christmas and in the future. Thank you.
