Helping increasing numbers of seriously ill children and their families relies on our ability to understand and respond to the critical issues facing our key stakeholders, to grow our income streams efficiently and build a sustainable and effective organisation. This is why we invest time listening to and developing our three specialist advisory groups.

Meet our Parent Advisory Group
Sian’s youngest son Ollie has the rare genetic condition, Wolf Hirschhorn Syndrome. Sian believes that being part of the PAG, with other parents also passionate for change, can have a positive impact on changing support and services on offer for children and young people with exceptional health needs.
Emma’s youngest son Charlie has many cronic health conditions of which professionals are still trying to give a firm diagnosis. Living in this situation Emma understands the frustration many families have living in the ‘unknown.’
With four children, including Fraser who has Cerebral Palsy and a large amount of daily care needs, Craig knows how important it can be for families of seriously ill children and young people to find assistance from charities like WellChild.
Jill is mum to Noah and Oscar. Noah has a very rare form of interstitial lung disease, has a tracheostomy, a gastrostomy and is ventilated with oxygen when asleep or poorly. Through their family experience, Jill knows how important it is for families of seriously ill children and young people to get support from charities like WellChild.
Faith has two daughters, Lucy and Sophie. Sophie has Rett Syndrome, which means she is in a wheelchair, on constant oxygen, fed through a tube, and dependent on more than 30 doses of medication every day. Faith is passionate about the rights of disabled children and their families and wants to share her knowledge in order to improve services and raise awareness.
Rick is dad to three boys, including Isaac who has quadriplegic cerebral palsy. Through both his family life and professional background as a Social Worker, Rick brings an understanding of how services that deliver support to children like Isaac, work and can improve.
