Are you looking for an exciting, varied and rewarding role in fundraising? We are looking for an enthusiastic Fundraiser to work across individual and challenge event fundraising in this newly created role.

WellChild is the national charity for seriously ill children based in the centre of Cheltenham. We fund programmes and services to help care for and support children and young people living with serious illness or exceptional health needs.

This Individual & Donor Development role will work to generate and maintain income from a number of sources with a focus on individuals – in addition to assisting with the delivery of our Challenge Events programme.

You will have ownership of your own fundraising areas together with your own goals and targets. Duties will include acting as key point of contact for enquires, general & database administration, managing a calendar of campaigns to increase donor recruitment and income as well as developing and implementing an effective donor communications plan, assisting the Challenge Events Team with office and on event support, and giving talks and presentations to a variety of organisations.

Interested candidates will be able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to effectively project manage a range of campaigns. You will be a confident communicator able to build relationships, prioritise a fluctuating workload and work calmly under pressure and to tight deadlines. An interest in fundraising and challenge events would be an advantage.

This is a full time permanent role based in Cheltenham, although it will involve some travel away from the office and working outside of normal hours (including some weekends).

We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of their race, sex, disability, religious belief, sexual orientation or age.
