Lois’s Garden

We wanted to give Lois a garden that she could safely access and play in with her siblings. Volunteers from SOBI came together over two days to transform an area of the garden for her. They built a large decked seating area for the family to use together. They installed a long ramp to take Lois to an area of artificial grass that is wheelchair accessible and has a wheelchair platform swing installed on it. Now Lois has a special accessible and fun space in the garden of her own, it will be life changing!

It is amazing, you are so incredible to have done this for us, thank you all!

Oliver’s Garden

We wanted to give Oliver a garden that he could access safely and play in with his siblings.
Volunteers from GSK, Hilti & Speedy Services came together for a very special 300th Helping Hands Project to create a fantastic space for him to use.

Thank you so much, for everything

Gabby’s Garden

We wanted to give Gabby a bright, colourful garden to interact with, and a safe space for her to play out of her wheelchair. Volunteers from Hilti & Speedy Services collaborated over two days to transform this bare concrete space. They removed the old patio slabs and installed an artificial grass sensory play area complete with mirror and spinning wheels. They built a raised flower bed from sleepers and filled it with beautiful sensory plants, and installed a birds nest swing with safety matting.

Gabby now has a beautiful space to play in and spend time outdoors with her family.

It is amazing - Gabby will love playing out here
