Investing in innovation
By funding practical projects and research, we aim to improve quality of life at home for children, young people and families across the UK.
Better At Home Suite
In collaboration with Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and Edge Hill University, the ‘Better At Home’ Suite is the UK’s first parent and carer training facility. The suite provides a safe place for families to learn and practice many of the skills they will need to care for their child at home – from managing their ventilation, to feeding them via a tube.Learn more about the WellChild Better At Home Suite
Medicines for Children
In partnership with the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) and Neonatal and Paediatric Pharmacists Group (NPPG), Medicines For Children is a practical web based resource for parents and carers providing free information on over 100 medicines and their administration, either as a leaflet, how-to video or via the website.Visit the Medicines for Children website
Our investment into groundbreaking child health research began in 1977 and since then we have provided over £23 million in grants to research fellows, clinicians and nurse researchers at some of the UK’s most established hospitals and research units.Learn about our research projects
