Medicines for Children is a practical web based resource for parents and carers providing free information on over 100 medicines, either as a leaflet or via the website.
The Medicines for Children website provides practical and reliable advice about giving medications to your child. Produced by WellChild, the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) and Neonatal and Paediatric Pharmacists Group (NPPG), the site contains leaflets on a range of medicines that answer your questions such as:
- How and when to give you child their medicine?
- What to do if you forget to give the medicine or give too much?
- Any possible side-effects?
You can also read about or watch short films about giving different forms of medicines, including tablets, capsules, liquid medicine, injections, suppositories and enemas, eye drops/ointment and ear drops.
