Medicines for Children is a website providing practical and reliable advice about giving medications to your child. Produced by WellChild, the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) and Neonatal and Paediatric Pharmacists Group (NPPG), the site contains independently endorsed information on a range of medicines, and answers questions such as:
- How and when to give your child their medicine?
- What to do if you give too little, or too much?
- Any possible side-effects?
The Medicines for Children website contains information about giving different forms of medication, including tablets, capsules, liquid medicine, injections, suppositories and enemas, eye drops/ointment, and ear drops. Use the site’s search bar to find medicines by name or by your child’s condition.
All of the articles, leaflets, and videos on the Medicines for Children website are accurately produced and kept up to date by pharmacists and other healthcare professionals.
