Yorkshire Wildlife Park
Yorkshire Wildlife Park is a fantastic place to experience a wildlife adventure with around 475 animals including over 60 different species! Most animals you will discover at the park are endangered or threatened in the wild. The majority of the pathways throughout the main park are level, with shallow gradients in areas. All pathways are accessible to wheelchair users. Mobility scooters and wheelchairs available to hire.

Square Peg Activities is an inclusive play space for disabled children and their families. The centre has Sensory Room, forest garden, large indoor play space, sitting room, changing area with full size bed and hoist, and a gaming room. The centre also holds regular coffee mornings/breakfasts for parents/carers and runs holiday clubs and events throughout the year.

Archway Holiday Home – Betty’s place
Betty’s Place is a wheelchair accessible holiday home located in the sunny seaside town of Nairn. The holiday home is pitched on Lochloy Holiday Park and is located right next to the beach with lots of great facilities available on site: an indoor heated swimming pool (with hoist), restaurant and lounge bar, daily entertainment and bingo, kid’s clubs, adventure playgroup, a shop and laundry. The holiday home comprises of 2 bedrooms with 2 single divan beds in each room, a spacious lounge with a double pull out sofa bed, dining area with free standing dining table and chairs, fully equipped kitchen with fridge freezer, microwave, gas hob and oven, a spacious wet room which includes an accessible toilet, sink and level access shower. Access is via a purpose-built, low gradient ramp with decking area to the side and front. The holiday home is fully equipped with the essential items such as cutlery, crockery, glasses, pots and pans, cooking utensils, a hoover, ironing board, hairdryer, radio etc.

This inclusive group is open to parents, carers, and grandparents of any babies and children age 4 and under with any kind of additional need or disability. Sessions will include pre-school and sensory equipment, optional messy play, song circle, snack time, and visits to the park's adventure playground. It will also provide the opportunity to meet with others facing similar challenges and to receive help and advice from our specialist staff. Please contact directly to discuss accessibility needs.
