The NMC supports young people with neuromuscular conditions and their families. Some of the things they offer, include: Social events (watching a film with popcorn or having a chat while munching on pizza). Activity days which are for friends and family as well. All kinds of exciting events such as Bushcraft and Creative drama. Volunteering / work experience opportunities. Duke of Edinburgh Award. Access to a hive of knowledge, advice and people with first-hand experience of navigating life with a disability.

Bee Inclusive (Bury)
A not-for-profit Community Interest Group founded in Greater Manchester and based in The Bury SEND Hub in Radcliffe, who provide social opportunities for children and young people with SEND. The centre has an accessible toilet/changing facility, accessible parking, and two safe outdoor play areas, including a sensory garden. They also have a brand-new accessible sensory room. The organisation is run by SEND parent/carers to ensure that our opportunities are appropriate, safe and enjoyable for our children and young people. They are an independent organisation that self-funds to provide activities. These may be delivered in their other centre, facilitated by external providers or take place at other venues in the community.

Khaas
Khaas seeks to promote the comprehensive needs of BAME disabled children, their carers and families. They run weekend respite care throughout the year, providing short breaks for families, who have children with disabilities and additional needs. The Saturday/Sunday Respite care provides for many families who find it hard to access main line organisations due to language and cultural barriers, providing free time for parents and carers. Other services offered include, summer activities, family trips and outings, Yoga, social interaction, lunch clubs, alterative therapies, workshops, sewing classes, arts and crafts and 1:1 counselling. The sensory support service provides advice and support to make sure that all children and young people with sensory impairment have the best opportunities to learn, develop and grow. They provide advice and support to children and young people with sensory impairment (hearing, vision, or multi-sensory impairment) from birth to 25 years of age, their families and educational settings. Their work covers: Assessment and identification of needs of children and young people with sensory impairment, including statutory assessments of Education, Health and Care Needs Advice and support to families enabling them to promote their child's development Advice, support, and training to ensure educational settings meet the needs of children and young people with sensory impairment in their settings Developing programmes of work and provide direct teaching of specialist skills for children and young people. Time Out!
Time Out! is the Sensory Needs Service's Saturday club for hearing impaired children. The sessions take place at different venues according to the activity, for example making pizzas at Jamie's restaurant. Lagan’s Foundation aims to physically help support families who have infants and children up to 19 years old, diagnosed with complex health conditions specialising in heart defects and feeding difficulties. Lagan’s Foundation’s provides unique home health care and respite in the North West for families & children living with complex health needs. They offer individual and flexible care services to families via donated care, 1:1 and 2:1 commissioned care. Lagan’s Foundation currently work with a number of NHS Trusts, ICBS, Local Authorities and other community groups.
