Little Lodge
Little Lodge, a sensory and soft play facility and forms an extension of The Lodge Wellness Centre. It is a fully inclusive space tailored to cater to individuals with additional needs, ensuring visitors and their loved ones can unwind and relax peacefully. Little Lodge is available for families, groups, and individuals who care for children and young people with additional learning and physical disabilities. A variety of items including a colour-changing mood pebble, bubble tubes, UV lighting, sensory board, fibre optics and projectors, Ball pool, Sensory toys, cuddle ball, Infinity mirror and more. Activities include coffee and chat sessions and inclusive activities.

The Down Syndrome Group Northamptonshire (DSGN) – Honeypots Group
The Down Syndrome Group Northamptonshire (DSGN) and Kingsthorpe Children's Centre are hosting the Honeypots group for children with down syndrome (aged 0-5 years) living in Northamptonshire. It's a great opportunity to meet other new parents and share help, support, and ideas. DSGN's private speech and language therapist will join some of the sessions to provide advice and support. The group will invite other professionals to come along and offer advice or information. Siblings are welcome. Car parking is available at the rear of the building. Please note: your children remain your responsibility and must be supervised at all times during the sessions.

Eye Arts Club
The arts club organises projects for children and young people aged 7-17. Projects are for children with and without additional needs, and include dance, movement, puppets, film, animation, masks, costumes & visual art. Eye Arts Club provides a sympathetic and supported setting for children and young people with additional needs, owing to learning or physical disability, sensory impairment, autism, health issues or in care, to socialize, have fun and participate in arts and performance activities. Tutors are professional arts practitioners with experience of working with people with additional needs, trained in disability awareness and sensory activities. Siblings and without without additional needs can enjoy activities together. Usually 5 to 7 sessions per term. Please contact directly to discuss accessibility needs and access.

They are filled with activities that they will enjoy, whilst offering family carers a valuable break from their caring responsibilities with the reassurance that the young person is in safe hands and having a great time. Activities are specifically designed for young people and include things like archery, climbing, treasure hunts, beach visits, discos, karaoke, movie nights and more. This enables their families to have a much-needed break from caring, where they can rest and recharge without worry. Cherry Trees is a life line for the families of over 50 children who are regularly cared for, whether that be after school for a few hours, overnight or for a longer stay. Cherry Trees is wheelchair accessible, with a ramp at the main entrance, lift, hoists in all of the downstairs bedrooms, bathroom and sensory areas and a wheelchair safe roundabout. Cherry Trees is an inclusive service, this means that we accept children with a range of disabilities including learning, sensory and physical. We cater for children with epilepsy, autism, cerebral palsy and many other conditions.
