Fortnightly stay and play for children 0-4 with additional needs and their parent/carers, no diagnosis necessary. Fortnightly coffee mornings for parent/carers of children with additional needs. Knowsley Outdoor Education Club (KOEC)
Knowsley Outdoor Education Club (KOEC) is funded by Knowsley Council and provides monthly sessions involving a range of indoor/outdoor adventurous activities. This programme is free of charge and is available to young people aged between 10-18 (up to age 25 with SEND) who live in Knowsley.

Developing independence skills for young people aged 17-25 with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND). This includes elements such as planning to go shopping, going shopping, cooking a meal, learning to iron, learning to sew, first aid and other aspects such as making a telephone call and what to do in an emergency. Alongside this it provides a safe environment in which young people can take part in a range of activities, explore interests, and have fun with peers away from home. Offers a wide programme of events including games, quizzes, crafts, and a chance to meet new friends and socialise.

Inclusive, therapeutic art sessions for children and young people age 5-25 years with complex disability needs across Knowsley. Unique and able Artists provide a relaxed, engaging and supportive environment to encourage and nurture the artistic abilities of the children, using a ‘stay and play’ approach so that parents can watch, supervise and experience their child(ren) engaging meaningfully in art activities.

The Sensory Hive
A community organisation offering services in occupational therapy, sensory integration, and education for individuals living with sensory processing difficulties. The specialist sensory integration therapy centre, based in Whiston, Knowsley, is a hive of activity offering a sensory gym, immersive and interactive room, occupational therapy, LEGO-based therapy, rebound therapy, hobby clubs, and infant and child sensory development classes. Inclusive of individuals who are neurodivergent (Autism, ADHD, SPD, Dyspraxia), and those Learning Difficulties, PMLD, and neurological conditions such as cerebral palsy and brain injury.

The Family Bee @ The Sensory Hive
A support and well-being group for all caregivers. 90 minute session facilitated by a family systems coach from The Well Mind. The session aims to bring parents and carers of children with additional needs together to connect with others, share experiences, meet new people and reduce social isolation.

Unique Kidz and Co – After School Club
Specialist centre which offers support, activities, play, and social time for children with disabilities. After School Club for children aged 5 to 19 years old. Two disabled access minibuses collect children from the two local special schools and transport to the building or children can be dropped off. Experienced play workers ensure children are supported in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.

The Daytime Support Service is a safe place for young adults with disabilities to meet, make friends, experience new things and be themselves. Weekly activities include equestrian training, gym sessions, network wheels at Salt Ayre, volunteering at a local charity shop, travel training and swimming. Regular activities also include baking/cooking, gardening, arts and crafts, sensory sessions and lots more!
