Whether an individual’s goal is to reach their academic potential, overcome social difficulties, or develop their independences skills, through tailored treatment plans, the team are able to help them reach their goals. Join-us+
A youth group for young people aged between 10 and 16 years of age with a variety of disabilities and individual needs. Activities include cooking/baking, arts & crafts, x-box/Wii, Lego/K’nex, outdoor and indoor sport & games, board games, use of IT, dressing up, imaginative play, and socialising with friends. Young people are encouraged to take part in informal educational activities and projects alongside supporting in planning and giving feedback about activities. Parents/carers are requested to call to discuss their child/young person’s individual support needs prior to accessing the service.

Middlesborough Early Years SEND Team
The Early Years SEND Team is an integral part of Early Help services and support young children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities from birth to school age and their families. They help by providing support for the early identification of children with special needs, giving advice to registered settings on suitable play equipment, support with curriculum activities to promote inclusive practice, and supporting children attending Specialist provision. The Early Years SEND Service is available to families who: Live within the borough of Redcar and Cleveland Have a preschool child who has significant delay in at least two areas of development.

Me2Club
Me2 Club is an inclusion charity for children and young people with additional needs and disabilities in the Wokingham and Reading Boroughs. Their purpose is to tackle the social isolation and loneliness experienced by children not being able to access mainstream leisure activities. They do not require a formal diagnosis to offer support. They support children and young people aged 5-19 to take part in mainstream activities by recruiting and training volunteers to ‘buddy’ 1:1 with them (2:1 when required) so they can join in and have fun. Children can access a wide range of activities including sports clubs, groups, and drama classes, giving them a chance to build independence and vital life and social skills. Me2 Club also run 3 participation projects: • TeenW&Rd – Opportunity for young people aged 13-19years to make new friends and to build their independence by choosing, planning and fundraising for activities. • Include Me2 – Our Youth Social Action Group for ages 8 – 25 years and their siblings. Supporting young people to raise awareness of additional needs to address the barriers they face in their lives and in their communities. • Say YES – Wokingham’s SEND Youth Forum for 8 – 25 year olds. Dedicated family support centre for children and families with SEND in the community. Stay-and-play sessions for families to enjoy the resources and environment with their children. Family Support Worker, who is key to maintaining contact and supporting both in the centres and with outreach support. Playschemes and engaging child-tailored activities throughout the holidays to provide respite for families, with the support of specialist staff.

Norwood children and family services + Counselling & Psychotherapy
Provide a range of early intervention groups and services, specialist help and advice to vulnerable children and families in the Jewish community. Their team of family support and social workers offer the following: Emotional and mental health support Specialist advice and guidance Advocate on behalf of vulnerable children and their families They provide a range of group and individual support to provide parents with the skills and resilience to manage difficult circumstances and meet the needs of their children. They also have a range of groups and courses for families impacted by learning disabilities and autism. Norwood also provide: Counselling & Psychotherapy The Counselling and Psychotherapy Team is made up of qualified therapists with a specialism in children and young people. The sessions enable children with ongoing difficulties to explore their experiences in a safe and non-judgmental space. In addition to 1:1 therapy, they offer a range of groups designed to build resilience and increased social and emotional competence.
