Our thanks go to the event sponsors Sky Bet, partners West Way Nissan and supporters Whispering Angel and Brook Taverner. Golf tops were from J Lindeberg, snacks from Creed Foodservice and a special edition of the Racing Post was created for the event.

The day took place at The Belfry on the Brabazon Course. The Belfry is synonymous with golf and has hosted the Ryder Cup four times – more than any other venue in the world. A late breakfast was followed by 18 holes of golf, followed by a prize giving and dinner in the clubhouse.

During the day there were a number of extra challenges and competitions. These were: Hole in One supported by West Way Nissan, Longest Drive supported by West Way Nissan, Sky Bet Nearest the Pin, Putt for WellChild, Whispering Angel Challenge and Nearest the Pin, supported by Brook Taverner.

Congratulations to the winners on the day. The winning team was Betfair, the individual winner was Mark Sweeney, and the winning celebrity was Carl Llewellyn while Alex Boyd hit the longest drive.

WellChild Interim Chief Executive Matt James said: “We would like to thank Ed Chamberlin, the sponsors and supporters of the event along with all who took part for a fantastic day supporting WellChild’s work for seriously ill children and their families. After the break due to COVID it was wonderful to be back on the course enjoying a great event and making a real difference for the families we support.”
