Grace Jones to headline the inaugural ICON BALL
WellChild children and families across the UK will benefit from The ICON BALL fashion event, headlined by Grace Jones, which has been announced as the first major live fundraising gala since the Covid 19 pandemic.
The event will take place at the Landmark Hotel in London, on Friday 17th September 2021, just before London Fashion Week, marking a week of fashion, glitz and glamour for the city.
And WellChild families will be involved in a fashion show at the event, taking part and wearing designer clothes on the catwalk!
The ICON BALL, is a unique international event, founded by Helen Georgio owner of Buzz Mode. To launch the first ICON BALL in the UK, the team are dedicated to raising money for WellChild along with fellow charities NHS Charities Together and the BFC Foundation
Music and film legend Grace Jones is to headline the stylish event, whilst designers Julia Clancey, Patrick McDowell and Kimmii will show on the exclusive catwalk. Hosting the event will be charity campaigner and popular culture expert Nick Ede, and Scottish TV presenter Jean Johansson.
Event organiser and founder of Buzz Mode; Helen Georgio said: “London is famous for its galas, and they are the lifeblood for many charities. I am honoured to be bringing back the London social scene with a bang, joining forces with NHS Charities Together and WellChild the national charity for sick children, Grace Jones and some incredible designers to create a fabulous evening of fun and fundraising.”

A whole host of stars from the worlds of TV, music and entertainment will come together on the night to raise funds and make a difference and to watch an iconic performance from music and fashion superstar Grace Jones.
Along with performances from Grace, a star-studded fashion show and other special stars, guests will be treated to champagne and cocktails throughout the night and a three-course dinner served in the beautiful surroundings of the Landmark Hotel Ballroom.
