Cotswold Farm Park
Adam Henson’s Cotswold Farm Park has a long-standing reputation for a fun-filled day out. Visitors of all ages can interact closely with the animals and learn about farming, past and present. As the home of rare breed conservation, visitors can meet over 50 flocks and herds of farm animals, including Gloucestershire Old Spot Pigs, Suffolk Punch Horses and Highland cattle. The Animal Barn, Adventure Barn and Discovery Barn can be enjoyed all year round, as they are under cover and protected from the elements. With a wide variety of Outdoor Play, including Bouncy Pillows, Aerial Play, Quarry Play and more, there’s lots of entertainment for children of all ages. The on-site restaurant, serving locally sourced seasonal food and Adam Henson’s own beer, is a hit with the all ages. WellChild Family Welfare Service
The Family Welfare Advisor Service helps families caring for a child with complex medical needs to thrive at home by offering support with applying for disability benefits, accessing grants, and providing information on local services. The service is open to parent carers in the North-West of England and referrals can be made by professionals working with parents, or parents can refer themselves.

WellChild Helping Hands
The Helping Hands programme provides safe, stimulating and accessible garden transformations nationwide. Applications are only open for a short period each year. The needs of the child or young person must have a significant impact on the family and their opportunity to enjoy an ordinary life at home. WellChild work with corporate volunteers to undertake the transformations.

An educational, therapeutic and recreational scheme, based initially on gardening, but now offering so much more. It is a project for people of all ages dealing with disablement of any kind. Activities include: Recycling scheme, cooking, gardening, drama and performances, a music room, Karaoke, arts ands crafts, woodwork, a choir, and a range of gardening and wildlife related activities.

Forest Pulse
Supporting children and young people with disabilities and their families, living in the Forest of Dean. Parents can contact the Charity Manager to discuss any aspects relating to the care of their children – we won’t know the answer to everything, but hopefully will know someone who does. Issues might include benefit applications, contacts for other services, grants for equipment, holidays etc, statementing, respite, behaviour issues, out of school activities – anything anyone wants to know more about really!
