Constipation Support for Parent Carers
We’re pleased to announce that we will be hosting a FREE webinar for parent carers focused on managing constipation in children and young people with complex needs, delivered by one of our WellChild Nurses!
We are delighted to welcome Madeleine Bradley, WellChild Lead Continuing Care Nurse, who will be sharing her specialist knowledge and practical guidance in this informative session on managing constipation.
Constipation is a common but often challenging issue for children and young people with complex needs. This session is designed to help you feel more confident spotting the signs, understanding why it happens, and knowing what support and options may be available.
What the session will cover
• How to recognise constipation in children and young people with complex needs
• Why constipation happens, and the extra factors that can make it harder to manage
• Practical approaches to managing constipation, including what you might discuss with health professionals
• A real‑life case study to help bring everything together
There will also be time at the end of the session for a 15-minute open Q&A, giving you the opportunity to ask Madeleine your questions.
