WellChild, the national charity for seriously ill children and their families, has today announced broadcaster and professional dancer Oti Mabuse as its newest celebrity ambassador. Oti has been a passionate supporter of the charity in recent years, using her profile to help raise awareness of its vital work supporting children with complex medical needs and their families. She has attended WellChild’s flagship event, The WellChild Awards in association with GSK, and has given her time to support the charity’s fundraising efforts.

As an official ambassador, Oti will continue to champion WellChild’s mission to ensure that children with complex medical needs across the UK have the support they need to thrive at home, with their families.

Speaking about her new role, Oti Mabuse said:

“I’m so pleased to officially become part of the WellChild family. Having attended the WellChild Awards over the past few years, I’ve seen first-hand the incredible difference this charity makes to children, young people and their families.

The work WellChild does has become very close to my heart, and I’m proud to join as an ambassador and play my part in supporting their mission. WellChild’s vision, that every child and young person with complex medical needs can thrive at home and in their community, is one I’m truly honoured to stand behind and I can't wait to get stuck in!

With Oti’s continued support, WellChild can reach even more families and ensure they get the care and resources they need to thrive at home.
