Xmas festivities

We are getting into the Christmas spirit in good time here in Gloucestershire with a feast of festive themed activities to raise money for WellChild already underway in the run up to the big day.

The Christmas Fair in the Cotswolds – This week

This week sees the fabulous Christmas Fair in the Cotswolds which is in full swing at Daylesford Organic Farm. The event has 200 stalls featuring quality pieces from UK’s leading designers and features an array of free workshops. It has become such a success that tickets for this year’s fair are already sold out.

But don’t worry because there two other festive themed events coming up where you can get ready for Christmas nice and early while at the same time raising funds for WellChild’s work with seriously ill children and their families.

Christmas at Ellenborough – 21st November

First on the bill is Christmas at Ellenborough which takes place on 21st November at the lovely Ellenborough Park Hotel in Cheltenham. We are inviting you to a festive evening, with fizz and canapés on arrival, which will include demonstrations by Fiorella Florals showing you how to make a beautiful Christmas wreath and Laithwaites Wine giving you the perfect pairings for your Christmas dinner.

Also joining us will be Molton Brown, Truce, The Box Tree and Follyies offering a choice of wonderful gifts and decorations.

This evening of song and readings will feature the Jubilate Chamber Choir alongside guest choirs: The University of Gloucestershire and Community Choir; St Edward’s School Choir; Airthrie School Choir; Dunalley Primary School Choir and Saint John’s Primary School Choir.

Conductor on the evening will be Ian Higginson and presenter will be Vernon Harwood of the BBC. The choirs on the evening will be accompanied by The English Concertante Orchestra led by George Ewart. Money raised at the event will benefit WellChild.
