WellChild launches Celebrity Golf Team Challenge in partnership with Systems Integration

WellChild is delighted to announce a great new celebrity golf challenge with a sporting theme, in partnership with specialist food processing software provider Systems Integration.

At this inaugural WellChild Celebrity Golf Team Challenge event, which will take place on the Belfry’s PGA course on the, 6th October, Olympians will pitch their golf skills against Cricketers. Following on from Team GB’s outstanding success at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and in the lead up to the T20 Cricket World Cup and Ashes, Mark Foster (five-time TeamGB Olympic swimmer) will captain the Olympians, and Mark Ramprakash (former England and Surrey CCC player, and current England batting coach) with lead the Cricketers.

Mark Foster said: “As an Ambassador for WellChild, I am delighted to captain the Olympians in this inaugural Golf Team Challenge event. The impact of COVID-19 and lockdown has inevitably impacted fundraising in the charitable sector, and I know just how essential this is to WellChild, to enable them to deliver support for children, young people and their families. It will be an absolute pleasure to bring some of the cheer and inspiration from Tokyo and our fellow Olympians to the Belfry in October”.

Mark Ramprakash continued: “There are many cricketers who turn to golf after careers in the professional game and I have most definitely got the bug!  I fully appreciate the amazing work that WellChild do and I am looking forward to what I know will be a day full of serious competition but also fun and banter with my teammates and a group of brilliant Olympians”

Headline Partner Systems Integration is generously supporting this event with funding which will be a huge help in WellChild’s work with seriously ill children and their families across the UK.
