Kangaroos – BREAKAWAY
BreakAway is a Saturday and holiday club for young people with learning disabilities aged from 12 to 18. BreakAway is held in Haywards Heath, wherethere are in-house activities such as cookery, crafts, music and games. In addition, we provide trips out which are often chosen by the young people. Popular venues recently visited include Groombridge Place, Hastings Sea Life Centre, London Theatres and a two night overnight stay at Lodge Hill Outdoor Centre.

Kangaroos – TEEN SCENE
TeenScene is a youth club for teenagers aged from 12 to 18 held at the Kangaroos Hub in Wivelsfield on Tuesday evenings. Activities include crafts, movie nights and board games. This group is relatively small and consistent, which helps young people to quickly settle and feel comfortable in a supportive environment.

Allsorts is an after-school club for children aged from 8 to 14 on Mondays. Each term, there group explores a new theme. Most recently, Allsorts has been taking forest school lessons and exploring the outdoors!

Champions is an after-school club held on Thursdays at the Kangaroos Hub for children aged 6 to 12 with severe learning disabilities. Attendees enjoy a range of activities including crafts and cooking, as well as occasional trips out in the local area.

Kangaroos – PALS
PALS is a weekly Saturday and Holiday play scheme for children aged 6 to 12, based at The Ashenground Community Centre in Haywards Heath. PALS runs throughout the year offering in-house activities and trips out. All activities are tailored to the children’s needs. Activities include themed days at base, such as space, transport or sensory play, and trips out to a wide range of venues including farms, sensory rooms, theme parks and inclusive playgrounds.

Kangaroos – STARS
Support, Time, Activities, Respect, Sensory (STARS) – is a weekend and holiday club for children and young people aged 6+ with complex medical needs and limited mobility, including epilepsy, Cerebral Palsy, visual and hearing impairments, gastrostomy feeds, catheterisation and complex feeding needs. STARS runs throughout the year from the Ashenground Centre in Haywards Heath where they provide sensory equipment, switch adapted toys, musical instruments, cooking equipment, specialist seating, and a range of computers and iPads with tailored software and hardware. Trips out include fully accessible outward bounds days, from rock climbing, adapted skiing, wheelchair ice skating and dancing, to wheelchair friendly speed boats and visits to accessible playgrounds, as well as overnight residentials.

Rose Road Association – accessible train travel
Rose Road have teamed up with South Western Railway to deliver the 'All Aboard' project, making rail travel more accessible for profoundly disabled people and their families. They are looking for disabled teenagers and young adults across Hampshire to help evaluate the travel guide tool and provide feedback on their experiences travelling by rail / train. As part of the project Red Rose will: Pay for the return rail journey for the young person plus one parent/carer Arrange all bookings and tickets Provide you with a print out of our travel guide All they ask in return is for feedback about your journey by completing a journey evaluation pack.
