The fantastic team of volunteers are on hand to support whenever and however it is needed. Wet suits are provided for warmth and protection on the beach along with other play equipment such as buckets and spades. To enjoy a week with Jennie's Children's Trust, please note that they are unable to take direct requests for a respite break. All requests must come through a professional body, from whom you are receiving support. Please ask them to contact Jennie's Children Trust directly on your behalf for consideration. Dreammakers
Dream Makers focus is to help as many children as possible to fulfil their dream of taking a holiday here in the UK. For those children who are not able to experience holidays because of the severity of their illness, Dreammakers have two fully disabled mobile homes which are in constant use. Their homes are able to accommodate everyone. They have walk in shower and hoist for those children that would not necessarily have this facility in a hotel or abroad. This offers them the chance to go away from the everyday stresses of treatment and just be a child. (which all children should have) Dreammakers provide holidays with requests from care trusts, children’s hospitals, hospices and many hundreds of children whose families have gone through many months and sometimes years of treatment. As each home accommodates up to eight people, the whole family can go, not just the carer. The homes are next to each other, therefore a medical carer can be sent if needed, with their own accommodation to ensure a child fulfils their holiday. The homes are to a 5* Gold standard and situated on a John Fowler Holiday Park in Torbay, Devon. Dreammakers have an excellent dream team that provides all the care that is needed to ensure the homes are maintained and kept to the highest standard on site. The homes are fully equipped with latest appliances and up to date TVs x box, games, toys, play station and Wi-Fi connection. Dreammakers asks for a £100.00 non-refundable deposit to cover the immediate expenses incurred for the weeks holiday. Consideration will be given in certain circumstances.
