Celebrity Ambassadors
We feel very privileged to have such a fabulous team of celebrity ambassadors and supporters who are committed to raising awareness of what we do.
Gaby Roslin Gaby was first introduced to WellChild when she hosted the 2014 WellChild Helping Hands Dinner. She was so moved by the charity’s vision that she accepted our invitation to become an Ambassador and immediately got involved with some of our other activities and events. Gaby visited the WellChild Garden at Chelsea Flower Show in 2014, has been an important member of the judging panel for the WellChild Awards. Gaby has been instrumental in several radio and tv campaigns for WellChild, including the BBC Lifeline appeal.
Pixie Lott Pixie became a WellChild Ambassador after attending a WellChild Awards ceremony. Pixie has performed at several WellChild events and regularly gets the children involved in her performances, dancing with her on stage. Pixie has also helped raise awareness of our work during the COVID-19 outbreak by doing a virtual performance of a song chosen by a WellChild Family.
Ed Chamberlin TV Racing’s presenter Ed Chamberlin became a WellChild ambassador in 2012. In September 2013 Ed attended the BGC Charity trading day and regularly attends and presents at the WellChild Awards. A huge golf fan himself, Ed has hosted several incredibly successful Golf Days on our behalf, helping to raise both our profile and lots of money in the process.

Laura Hamilton Laura has been involved with many WellChild activities, including hosting the England vs Algeria World Cup screening event in London when we were the beneficial charity for the England Football Team as well as attending a reception at 10 Downing Street in aid of WellChild. She regularly attends the WellChild Awards and has promoted our work through OK Magazine.
Dick & Dom Dick and Dom were first introduced to WellChild in 2007 when they attended the WellChild Awards and have been regular supporters at the event ever since. They kindly host the evening in 2016 and we were delighted when they decided to become official WellChild Ambassadors.
Duncan Bannatyne We were thrilled when Duncan very kindly agreed to become a Business Ambassador for WellChild in 2008. Since then Duncan has been a fabulous supporter of WellChild and like all our Ambassadors has freely given his time to attend our WellChild Awards for a number of years. Duncan is also single-handedly funding a WellChild Nurse post.
Janet Ellis Best known for her time as a television presenter, writer and actress Janet has been involved with WellChild for many years. As part of her support Janet has attended many events for WellChild including the Helping Hands Dinner, fashion show and is a welcome regular at the annual WellChild Awards where she has presented to our Award winners on stage. Janet delighted us when she agreed to become an Ambassador in 2011.
Diversity We are delighted to have the amazingly talented Diversity as official WellChild Ambassadors. Diversity were first introduced to WellChild when Perri and Jordan attended the WellChild Awards back in 2014 and we were delighted to welcome them back to the Awards in 2016 along with Ashley. Since becoming Ambassadors the guys have been great supporters with Jordan sitting on this year’s Awards judging panel and Ashley appearing on Celebrity Catchphrase winning a huge £7200 for WellChild.
Karren Brady CBE Karren Brady CBE is one of WellChild’s longest serving Ambassadors. She regularly attends the WellChild Awards and takes pride in presenting the winners their awards.
Sir Anthony McCoy OBE The 20-time Champion Jockey Sir Anthony McCoy OBE (known as AP) became an Ambassador in 2021, ahead of The Festival supporting WellChild and the WellChild Cheltenham Gold Cup. AP is one of the biggest names in racing having won almost every major race during his glittering career, including the Cheltenham Gold Cup and was voted BBC Sports Personality of the Year among his many accolades.
Samantha Quek In October 2016 Sam attended the WellChild Awards where she got the opportunity to meet some of the incredible young people and families the charity supports. We were delighted when she agreed to come on board as an Ambassador; a hardworking and committed team player she is a great addition to Team WellChild.
Mark Foster Like many of our Ambassadors, Mark was inspired to become involved in WellChild after attending our Awards. In line with his successful sporting history Mark hosts the annual ‘Mark Foster Golf challenge’ in aid of WellChild.
Oliver Phelps Ollie is best known for his role as George Weasley in the Harry Potter film series. Ollie is a regular supporter of WellChild and has attended events such as the Mark Foster Golf Day, the Helping Hands Dinner, and a fundraising trading days. Ollie was on the judging panel for the 2015 WellChild Awards where he spent the day with a panel made up of previous winners and their siblings. He also helped transform a garden with our Helping Hands team for a child with serious health needs.
Alexandra Burke Alexandra Burke came on board as a WellChild Ambassador following her incredible performance at our Helping Hands Dinner in 2014. Following this Alexandra also kindly chose WellChild as the charity to benefit from some of the proceeds of her single ‘Where Do Hearts Go’ released in Spring 2014. She has since appeared on Good Morning Britain to promote the WellChild Awards where she met one of our WellChild Nurses along with one of the families she supports.
Emly Matlis Journalist and Newsnight presenter Emily Maitlis is a keen supporter of WellChild and has been an Ambassador for a number of years. As an experienced presenter Emily, has hosted a number of events for WellChild including the annual WellChild Awards, a Fashion Show and more Christmas concert as part of our partnership with 100 Women in Hedge Funds.
Sir Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster Sir Rod Stewart, the legendary British rock and pop singer, and his wife, Penny Lancaster, a television personality, police officer and former model, have been active supporters of WellChild for many years. The couple has attended events like the WellChild Awards, where they celebrate the resilience and achievements of children facing significant health challenges. Their involvement highlights their commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of young people and their families.
Oti Mabuse Oti Mabuse, the talented South African dancer and television personality, is known for her dazzling performances on shows like Strictly Come Dancing and Dancing on Ice. Oti's dedication to making a positive impact extends beyond the dance floor, as she uses her platform to inspire and uplift others. Her presence at WellChild events underscores her passion for giving back and supporting meaningful causes.
Dr Ranj Dr. Ranj Singh, a British paediatrician, author, and television presenter, is widely recognized for his work on television shows. Beyond his media presence, Dr. Ranj is a passionate advocate for children's health and well-being. Dr. Ranj's involvement with WellChild includes sharing messages of encouragement and supporting and attending events like the WellChild Awards. His dedication to improving the lives of children and families shows his commitment to making a positive impact both in his medical career and through his charitable efforts.
Sarah Barrand Sarah has been a WellChild Ambassador for many years and regularly attends the annual WellChild Awards. She has supported us at many events such as the WellChild Awards Launch party. Sarah continues to gather support for us across the UK.
Oli Bell Oli has been a supporter of WellChild for many years. He has supported us at several events including Festival Focus, the WellChild Awards and Ed Chamberlin golf days. More recently Oli helped highlight our work through the Festival on ITV Racing.
Lauren Drummond Lauren was introduced to WellChild by Holby City star Guy Henry and was blown away by the work we do. She was inspired to help and to be a part of the WellChild Ambassador team. Since then she has attended our annual WellChild Awards and even took on the RideLondon 100 mile event to raise money to support our work.
