For example, the child is cowering under the covers in the dark, but on the next page, she is outdoors with her dog gazing happily at the moon and stars. The book’s lesson is that fear is temporary. We can all learn how to enjoy things that may initially provoke anxiety. With its engaging pictures and use of cut-outs, this book is perfect for opening a discussion with a young child.
