Marwell Zoo

Marwell Zoo is a large wildlife park in Hampshire, set in 140 acres of countryside. It is run by a conservation charity that works to protect animals and habitats around the world.

Visitors can see hundreds of animals, including giraffes, tigers, penguins and zebras. There are also playgrounds, cafés and picnic areas, making it a great day out for families.

Getting around

• Wheelchairs and mobility scooters are available to hire.
• A road train helps visitors travel around the zoo.
• The zoo is large and has some slopes and walking involved.

• One free carer is allowed with a paying visitor who has accessibility needs.

Toilets and facilities

• Accessible toilets are available across the zoo.
• A Changing Places toilet (with hoist and changing bench) is available.

• Quiet spaces are available for visitors who need a break.
• Staff include autism ambassadors.
• The zoo supports visitors with hidden disabilities (e.g. sunflower lanyards).
