Mighty Acorns is a specialist support group for parents and carers of babies under 3 with medical needs or disabilities.
The group offers a friendly and supportive environment for families adapting to medical needs or diagnoses, including, but not limited to:
- Tube feeding
- Using oxygen
- Birth injuries
- Genetic or Metabolic Conditions
- Limb differences
- Sensory Impairments
- Epilepsy
- Down syndrome
- Spina Bidifa
At Mighty Acorns, you will meet other parents who are going through similar experiences, as well as experienced parent volunteers. You can share in a safe space and receive emotional and practical support. MumsAid also offers access to specialist counselling.
The group takes place on Mondays during term time, at Woolwich Library, London.
If you live in Greenwich and have a baby under 3 with medical needs or disabilities, please get in touch via [email protected] or fill in their referral form.
Please note, their free services are only available to mums in the Greenwich area. If you live further afield, they are still able to offer paid-for, specialist counselling. Simply fill out the referral form and tick the ‘Private Counselling’ box.
