The beautiful beaches in and around St Andrews should be accessible to everyone including those with mobility issues. St Andrews Beach Wheelchairs solve this problem by offering free rental of a beach friendly wheelchair.

They have available: Small child hippocampe, medium child Hippocampe, large child / small adult Hippocampe, 4 Debug chairs, Nomad Desert, and a Beach Walker. They also have a hoist available - users will need to provide their own sling.

St Andrews Beach Wheelchairs will be open from 2 April 2025 until the 29th October 2025. Beach Wheelchairs are available to rent on Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays. Advance booking is advised but walk-ins are also welcome. Beach wheelchairs can be rented for 3 hours from 10am - 4pm. They are also available for half day rentals.
