Sycamore Trust UK is a charity supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and learning difficulties, and their families, across Barking & Dagenham, Havering, and Redbridge. Their aim is to empower individuals to flourish, educate communities, and provide tailored support systems. They offer:

Family Support

  • Parent & Carer Groups: Share experiences, access advice, and practical resources.
  • Benefit Application Guidance: Help with DLA, PIP, and EHCP applications.

Autism Services

  • Havering All-Age Autism Service: Peer groups, parent support, and advocacy.
  • Autism Hub Drop-In: Sensory rooms and professional advice in Romford.

Youth & Early Years

  • Speak With A Picture: Communication programme for nonverbal preschoolers.
  • Alpha & Bravo Groups: Life skills training for young people.
  • Young Women’s Group: Creative, supportive space for ages 18+.

Adult Programmes

  • Respite Services: Day outings for individuals with autism.
  • Parenting Pathways: Skills for young parents with learning difficulties.

Training & Resources

  • Workshops on autism and communication strategies.
  • Community campaigns and awareness initiatives.
