The Tank Museum
- Things to do
- In-person service
The Tank Museum brings history to life, with a great collection of tanks and explosive live displays. Come face-to-face with over 300 huge military machines and hear about amazing experiences as you explore nine powerful and awe-inspiring exhibitions covering over a century of history. Activities include, trails and quizzes, interactive games and exhibits, indoor and outdoor play areas, and free talks and tours.
The majority of the museum is on a single level, with ramps or lifts providing access to higher floors. Pathways and entrances are broad, and there are several disabled toilets around the Museum. There are wheelchair access points and viewing areas in our arena. There are a limited number of wheelchairs available for use at the Museum, which are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. Free-to-use sensory backpacks include ear defenders, and we would recommend the use of ear defenders during Special Events and Tanks in Action for visitors who struggle with loud noises.
All sounds and interactives are turned off in the museum to reduce sensory input during the quiet mornings.
