- In-person service
Wetwheels offers a unique opportunity for disabled and disadvantaged people of all ages – including those with multiple, profound and complex impairments – to access the water. This helps to broaden aspirations, increase confidence and directly impact on health and wellbeing. Wetwheels aim to ensure everyone can access the water with a safe, barrier-free, enriching experience.
Wetwheels experiences for disabled people are provided by a growing network of Wetwheels Operators based around the UK. They are currently operating in Edinburgh, Hamble, Jersey, Solent, South East, South West, Torbay, Yorkshire, and will soon be opening an operator in Cymru.
Wetwheels South East has her home in the Port of Dover, so is perfectly positioned to operate across the region, from Eastbourne to Central London.
The Wetwheels experience is designed to enable every disabled person the chance to experience the excitement of power boating. Wetwheels South East is truly unique by being fully accessible – not just giving you the chance to be a passenger, but also to take the helm as the skipper – everybody gets the chance to drive!
They have scheduled trips and experiences from the Port of Dover, which can be bespoke to your individual group. So whether it’s a trip Seal watching, experience the coastline or view the iconic White Cliffs of Dover from a new perspective, they can accommodate everybody.
They occasionally offer special trips or outreach weeks at other ports such as Eastbourne, Chatham and Ramsgate, based around special events and times of the year. So keep an eye on their bookings page and their social media for these or sign up to their newsletter so you’re kept up-to-date.
