Wigan Youth Zone offers young people aged 8 - 19 (or 25 with additional needs) more than twenty activities every day on site and across Wigan and Leigh. Wigan Youth Zone offers state-of-the-art facilities that young people can’t find anywhere else in one place in the borough – from a climbing wall and radio station to a skate park, gym and dance studio.
All sessions are inclusive and a dedicated inclusion team on hand to support all young people at the Youth Zone. Warrington Youth Zone has accessible toilets including an hygiene suite and lifts. Various accessible sessions each week include:
- Baking once a week
- Inclusive football in partnership with Wigan Athletic Community Trust
- Super 1’s Cricket, for additional needs members aged 12 – 25
- Inclusive climbing with full hoist for wheelchair users
- Closed karaoke sessions to build confidence
- Sensory activities and accessible leisure opportunities such as boccia, Kurling and Football.
