Aiming High
Aiming High is The Met’s specialist drama group for learning disabled and autistic young people. It is an accessible and fun workshop run by highly qualified practitioners. Their groups use physical activities and drama games to create a safe place for young people to express themselves, encourage them to become more independent and improve team working, communication skills and confidence. Performing in a short show every term, the young people learn to have focus, a goal and enjoy a big achievement.

Thomley enhances the well-being of disabled people through delivering activities that helps develop the skills they need to run their day-to-day lives. Work with families and children aged 0-19 who have a disability and need additional support. They offer short breaks for children who can take part in fun activities and group activities with experienced staff to support them. Khaas
Khaas seeks to promote the comprehensive needs of BAME disabled children, their carers and families. They run weekend respite care throughout the year, providing short breaks for families, who have children with disabilities and additional needs. The Saturday/Sunday Respite care provides for many families who find it hard to access main line organisations due to language and cultural barriers, providing free time for parents and carers. Other services offered include, summer activities, family trips and outings, Yoga, social interaction, lunch clubs, alterative therapies, workshops, sewing classes, arts and crafts and 1:1 counselling. Sensory Support Service – Bristol
The sensory support service provides advice and support to make sure that all children and young people with sensory impairment have the best opportunities to learn, develop and grow. They provide advice and support to children and young people with sensory impairment (hearing, vision, or multi-sensory impairment) from birth to 25 years of age, their families and educational settings. Their work covers: Assessment and identification of needs of children and young people with sensory impairment, including statutory assessments of Education, Health and Care Needs Advice and support to families enabling them to promote their child's development Advice, support, and training to ensure educational settings meet the needs of children and young people with sensory impairment in their settings Developing programmes of work and provide direct teaching of specialist skills for children and young people. Time Out!
Time Out! is the Sensory Needs Service's Saturday club for hearing impaired children. The sessions take place at different venues according to the activity, for example making pizzas at Jamie's restaurant.
