With this in mind, Wild West Children’s Services has been designed in a way that offers families a variety of care and support options. Services can be mixed and matched at different times including weekends and evenings to suit the needs of the family. They can offer children and young people from ages 8-18 years: Respite care Short Breaks Family support Alternative education/ Curriculum Wild West is our Ofsted registered play centre on the outskirts of Cockermouth. Wild West is specifically for children with disabilities. It provides a safe, fun and non-judgmental environment for children and young people. Grangers Club
A social club for young people with learning disabilities (14 years to 24 years) - a place to meet up with their peers and have fun. Activities include - pool/snooker, table tennis, ball games, arts and crafts, cooking, dominoes and other table activities. Members are encouraged to voice what they want, i.e. go on trips out and drama sessions.

Dreadnought Aspires
A countywide service. Age ranges for groups are age 8 – 11 (primary), 11 – 14 and 14 – 18 years, locations are flexible and dependant on the referrals received in that area. An Autism specific service for children and young people providing a fun and safe environment for young people, where they are supported to develop and improve their social skills, confidence, self-esteem and independence. To access the Aspires service, young people need a definite medical diagnosis of an Autism Spectrum Condition. They need to be in mainstream education or of mainstream cognitive ability. School holiday activities for disabled children and young people aged between 5 - 18, including day trips, groups, soft play, sports, arts and crafts. These short breaks are accessible to disabled children and young people who have had an initial assessment by a Social Worker and/or have a SEN Statement (Band 1-3). Neuro-muscular Centre
The NMC supports young people with neuromuscular conditions and their families. Some of the things they offer, include: Social events (watching a film with popcorn or having a chat while munching on pizza). Activity days which are for friends and family as well. All kinds of exciting events such as Bushcraft and Creative drama. Volunteering / work experience opportunities. Duke of Edinburgh Award. Access to a hive of knowledge, advice and people with first-hand experience of navigating life with a disability.

The Buzz Group is a fully accessible youth group for disabled young people aged 12-18. You can go to Buzz group without parents or carers and their fully qualified staff team will look after all your needs with dignity and respect. They can give medication, personal care, and 1-1 behaviour support. Activities include, cookery, sports, creative art, drama, bushcraft, and theatre visits.

Bee Inclusive (Bury)
A not-for-profit Community Interest Group founded in Greater Manchester and based in The Bury SEND Hub in Radcliffe, who provide social opportunities for children and young people with SEND. The centre has an accessible toilet/changing facility, accessible parking, and two safe outdoor play areas, including a sensory garden. They also have a brand-new accessible sensory room. The organisation is run by SEND parent/carers to ensure that our opportunities are appropriate, safe and enjoyable for our children and young people. They are an independent organisation that self-funds to provide activities. These may be delivered in their other centre, facilitated by external providers or take place at other venues in the community.
