Special Olympics Great Britain (Derbyshire Club)
Special Olympics Great Britain (GB) is a non-profit organisation and largest provider of year-round sports training and athletic competition in summer and winter sports for children and adults of ALL abilities with intellectual disabilities. They offer year-round training and competitions in a variety of summer and winter sports for children and adults of all abilities. Special Olympics GB is open to anyone regardless of age or disability. They also have a Young Athletes Programme for those aged 2-7 years. Their focus is on the child or young person's abilities, providing them with opportunities to compete at local, national, and international levels over a wide range of different sports. Beyond sports, the organisation transforms lives by fostering social skills, confidence, physical fitness, and joy among more than 6,500 athletes. Derbyshire Special Olympics club offers Boccia, Tennis, Basketball, Badminton, and MATP. The Derbyshire club is just one of 95 Special Olympics GB inclusive sports programs across Scotland, England, and Wales. POLKA Where Theatre Begins
POLKA Where Theatre Begins offer a range of access performances. These include: Audio Described performances; BSL Interpreted and BSL integrated performances; Captioned performances; and Relaxed performances for those with sensory sensitivities. During relaxed performances auditorium lights are kept on at a low level, loud sound levels, flashing lights, and haze (water vapour that looks like smoke) will be reduced or removed; audience sizes will be smaller; and a designated chill-out space is provided. Our Sensory Suite in the Clore Learning Studio is available for private hire as well as booked events. If you need a quiet space whilst visiting, just let us know – we’ll help you to find it. There is level access to our Adventure Theatre. There are 4 wheelchair spaces available in our Adventure Theatre and 6 wheelchair spaces available in our Main Theatre. We have gender-specific, gender-neutral and accessible toilets available. We also have baby changing facilities.

ParaPride is an empowerment charity that advocates for the visibility, education and awareness of LGBTQ+ disabled people. ParaPride is a grassroots organisation entirely run by a group of volunteers with lived experiences. ParaPride deliver a range of in-person and online workshops, networking, entertainment and social events throughout the year and also partner and participate in third party events to support making them more inclusive. It is a fully inclusive space tailored to cater to individuals with additional needs, ensuring visitors and their loved ones can unwind and relax peacefully. Little Lodge is available for families, groups, and individuals who care for children and young people with additional learning and physical disabilities. A variety of items including a colour-changing mood pebble, bubble tubes, UV lighting, sensory board, fibre optics and projectors, Ball pool, Sensory toys, cuddle ball, Infinity mirror and more. Activities include coffee and chat sessions and inclusive activities.

The Down Syndrome Group Northamptonshire (DSGN) – Honeypots Group
The Down Syndrome Group Northamptonshire (DSGN) and Kingsthorpe Children's Centre are hosting the Honeypots group for children with down syndrome (aged 0-5 years) living in Northamptonshire. It's a great opportunity to meet other new parents and share help, support, and ideas. DSGN's private speech and language therapist will join some of the sessions to provide advice and support. The group will invite other professionals to come along and offer advice or information. Siblings are welcome. Car parking is available at the rear of the building. Please note: your children remain your responsibility and must be supervised at all times during the sessions.

Eye Arts Club
The arts club organises projects for children and young people aged 7-17. Projects are for children with and without additional needs, and include dance, movement, puppets, film, animation, masks, costumes & visual art. Eye Arts Club provides a sympathetic and supported setting for children and young people with additional needs, owing to learning or physical disability, sensory impairment, autism, health issues or in care, to socialize, have fun and participate in arts and performance activities. Tutors are professional arts practitioners with experience of working with people with additional needs, trained in disability awareness and sensory activities. Siblings and without without additional needs can enjoy activities together. Usually 5 to 7 sessions per term. Please contact directly to discuss accessibility needs and access.
