Chamwell provides accessible activities and facilities for people of all ages with permanent or temporary disabilities, additional needs, limited mobility and the older generation, enabling them to enjoy family time and enhance their movement, skills and social interactions. Facilities include a hydrotherapy pool, soft play area, outdoor adventure playground and community cafe, and a range of adapted sports such as Boccia and Chair Yoga.

Sailability (Carsington Sailing Club)
Sailability provide accessible sailing for all. There are over 200 Sailability venues across the UK that offer boating opportunities tailored to individual needs and abilities. Search their website to find a club near you. Carsington Sailing Club in Derby is the home of our annual Sailability Summer Splash event! Sailability at Carsington, provide the opportunity for people with disabilities to experience sailing and take part in regular sailing activities, offering a sense of peace and freedom on the water. Both disabled and able-bodied members meet on Wednesdays and Saturdays for various events, including dinghy racing and training sessions. The volunteers are supportive and passionate about getting disabled children, and young people out on the water.

Allerton Sensory Rooms provide an inclusive, safe, happy and stimulating environment for all ages. There is a large space downstairs for having refreshments and a catch up. Baby changing table and breast feeding area. Rooms are charged by the hour.

Super 1s Cricket
Super 1s gives young people with a disability aged 12-25 the chance to play regular, competitive cricket. Young people will receive coaching, have the chance to compete against others and be able to enjoy the benefits of playing sport. All disabilities welcome, suitable for ages 12 - 25.

Power Hockey – Greenbank Sports Academy
Power Hockey is a hockey game that young electric wheelchair users can play which has been developed by Greenbank Sports Academy over the past 10 years. Specialist electric wheelchairs have been developed in partnership with the North West Training Council which allow the player to push the ball along and tackle one another. The latest version of the chair will also allow players to shoot the ball at the press of a button. Children play the game with their non-disabled friends, coaches and siblings and often, because disabled children use an electric wheelchair on a daily basis, they are much better players, which is a great way to boost self-esteem and confidence. Power Hockey gives severely disabled children an opportunity to play a fast, contact sport for the first time. The sport is currently being developed in the Merseyside area, but the plan is to develop the game into a national / international sport.

Inclusive Rides – Aigburth Community Cycle Club
Inclusive riding encompasses the idea of providing cycling opportunities that are accessible to everyone, regardless of age, ability, gender, or background, everyone is welcome to attend. We have trikes, side by side cycles and handcycles available as well as standard two wheel bikes, all provided by Greenbank Sports Academy. The Inclusive Rides begin with 30-45 minutes trying out the cycles in the sports hall at Greenbank Sports Academy. This is so that riders can get used to the cycles and practise steering, braking and changing gear before going outside. Anyone can attend an inclusive ride and riders are welcome to bring family or friends. All people and cycles are welcome. You do not need any equipment. We can lend you a bicycle and a helmet suitable for you. Please see website for session dates and times. Inclusive Rides run in partnership with Aigburth Community Cycle Club.
