Glasgow Science Centre
Glasgow Science Centre has hundreds of interactive exhibits in the Science Mall, a Planetarium, Scotland’s biggest-screen IMAX cinema, a Science Show Theatre, a fantastic cafe and a shop filled with goodies. A limited number of disabled parking spaces are available in our car park. Parking for Blue Badge holders is free of charge. When you arrive at our main ticket desk, please present your parking ticket and the operator will discount your parking. The main entrances and exits to Glasgow Science Centre are wheelchair accessible. Wheelchairs are available from the Ticket Desk. Please ask a member of Science Centre staff if you require a manual wheelchair for the duration of your visit to the Centre. Please note this is available on a first come first serve basis. In the seated theatre spaces within the Centre, there are spaces allocated for wheelchair users: IMAX — 4 spaces Science Show Theatre — 6 spaces Auditorium — 4 spaces Planetarium — 6 spaces Please call the Contact Centre on 0141 420 5000 when making your booking and they will make arrangements for you.

St Andrews Beach Wheelchairs
The beautiful beaches in and around St Andrews should be accessible to everyone including those with mobility issues. St Andrews Beach Wheelchairs solve this problem by offering free rental of a beach friendly wheelchair. They have available: Small child hippocampe, medium child Hippocampe, large child / small adult Hippocampe, 4 Debug chairs, Nomad Desert, and a Beach Walker. They also have a hoist available - users will need to provide their own sling. St Andrews Beach Wheelchairs will be open from 2 April 2025 until the 29th October 2025. Beach Wheelchairs are available to rent on Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays. Advance booking is advised but walk-ins are also welcome. Woodlarks – Accessible Campsite
Woodlarks was established in 1930 and has provided accessible camping for people with all kinds of disabilities ever since. Children and adults alike come to Woodlarks to experience new things and often go home having exceeded their expectations. Woodlarks enables anyone, whatever their ability, to have the fun and fellowship of affordable camping and outdoor activities in a glorious woodland setting. Willing volunteer help and state-of-the-art accessible facilities ensure that disability need not be a barrier to adventure and that you can play a full and active role in camping. Accessible washrooms with ceiling hoists and specialised equipment are readily available. There are indoor sleeping spaces, but also access to canvas camping facilitated by mobile hoists and profiling beds. Here people discover new skills and abilities, have adventures and make new friends in an environment designed to meet their individual needs.

Apple Tree Town
Play town for children and toddlers aged 1 and above with special area for babies. Children will have lots of time to discover what the little role play town has to offer, the themed role play areas have been built with little imaginations in mind, offering a full immersive experience that fully encourages development, communication and social skills of young children. During peak times (weekends and school holidays), you will have to book a 2 hour set session. Apple Tree Town has been designed with full wheelchair access. SEN sessions available with reduced numbers.

Lakeland Wildlife Oasis
With over 100 species of mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish and invertebrates, the Lakeland Wildlife Oasis is a unique and exciting blend of wildlife and interactive hands-on displays. Located just five minutes off junction 35 of the M6, the zoo is home to lush indoor tropical halls, walkthrough enclosures and picturesque outdoor spaces – making the zoo great fun no matter the weather! Delicious, wholesome food is available every day from the Wild Café, which has a conservatory and outdoor picnic area. The centre is all on one level, with wheelchair access throughout and a good view from a seated position into most exhibits.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach
Blackpool Pleasure Beach Resort is an amusement and theme park for the whole family featuring rides and attractions including Nickelodeon Land. Accesibility includes adult changing facilities, wheelchair hire, sensory backpacks available on request containing noise cancelling ear defenders, communication cards, bottled water and mini access guide. Backpacks can be hired for £20 fully refundable deposit or purchased for £30. There is a Learning Garden sensory area to relax. Access Able Guide is available on website.

Harthill Youth Centre Splice Project
Harthill Youth Centre Splice Project is a Disability Inclusion Project for young people aged 12 - 25 inclusive. A fun and friendly club for young people who have additional needs, disabilities and or vulnerabilities. Young people can make friends, try arts, cooking, Xbox, pool, drama & sports. All staff are trained and DBS cleared. You should have a referral from Fusion. Other professionals & parents/carers can also refer young people in. The building is on the ground floor and an accessible toilet is available. Sessions cost £1.

Sessions include inclusive sports, engaging arts and crafts, healthy food cooking, and the development of essential independent living skills. Little ones can bounce with joy on the bouncy castle, embark on exciting trips, and enjoy snacks. Support for parents is also available to those who need it. Activities include multi-sports, arts and crafts, dance, gaming, self-care and well-being. The building is fully wheelchair accessible with level entry, wide doorways and lift. There is a sensory 'quiet' room available if needed and youth staff trained to support people with SEND. Accessible parking space is also available. The Senior Youth Club suitable for ages 11 to 18. SEND members can attend to the age of 25. Sessions cost 50p and no booking required. Tuesday and Thursdays 5pm - 8pm.
