Haughmond Hill – Forestry England
Explore Haughmond Hill and follow in the footsteps of history. Follow the trails out to the front of the hill for commanding views across the River Severn and Shrewsbury to the South Shropshire and Welsh hills beyond. Discover the Iron Age enclosure or visit the viewing platform over the quarry; a must for any budding geologists or anyone who likes dumper trucks! The Corbet easy access trail is a surfaced trail through mixed woodland with frequent benches. Visitors with wheelchairs, mobility scooters and buggies should find this walk suitable. It is marked by yellow waymarkers. This trail is also home to our family activity trail, which changes theme each year. Accessibility features include accessible toilets, easy access trails, and 6 accessible parking spaces.

Sherwood pines – Forestry England
Archer's Stroll at Sherwood Pines is a flat easy walk with children's play areas. It is an all weather surfaced trail, suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs. This walk takes in some of the oldest trees in the forest with seating and a picnic bench along the way and at the Dragonfly Pond. There are 7 accessible parking spaces available.

Bedgebury Forest has miles of trails for family cycling and mountain biking, walking, and running. Enjoy climbing, jumping, sliding and swinging your way around the play trail or explore the canopy on a Go Ape tree top adventure or tree top challenge. Bedgebury Cafe at the Visitor Centre has wonderful views of the pinetum and is set beside one of our many lakes. You may also find Gruffalo and friends hiding in Bedgebury Pinetum! Enjoy a great family day out at one of the top kids days out in Sussex. Widely regarded as the best small zoo in the country Drusillas created an animal and child friendly environment where the focus is always on fun finding out. However, animals are only half the fun; Go Wild!, Get Wet!, Go Safari!, The Rainforest Adventure, SPARK, Amazon Adventure, Mungo's Adventure Maze and all our free children's rides are paradise for anyone wanting a theme park experience. They offer free entry for one carer accompanying a full paying visitor who can provide evidence of their disability. They have numerous dedicated disabled toilets located around the Park. They have a modern Changing Places Facility located behind our Amazon Adventure soft play area. Please ask staff in the Cafe for the key. The first session of each day SPARK is open is reserved for SEND visitors and their families.

Wildheart Animal Sanctuary
There are an incredible variety of animal species at the Wildheart Animal Sanctuary on the Isle of Wight, from lemurs and lions to monkeys and meerkats! Many of the animal residents come for a second chance. A registered carer accompanying a disabled visitor will be admitted free of charge. Supporting documentation should be provided. There is a large disabled toilet in our Cafe as well as another in the main toilet block. There is a large car park (Pay & Display) in front of the Sanctuary. Parking for Blue Badge holders is near to the entrance doors. Parking for Blue Badge holders is free, but please enter your vehicle registration and scan your Blue Badge at the nearby parking machine to avoid a fine. The surfaces of the Sanctuary vary, from concrete to cobbles and grass area. They are uneven and there are some trip hazards. There are various signs around the grounds and there are tactile displays. Most of the enclosures have different height viewing areas. No part of the Sanctuary relies on the use of steps.

Wildheart Tiger Teens – Short Breaks
A fortnightly after school club for teenagers! Join Wildheart Tiger Teens to learn about conservation, animal care & welfare as well as to socialise with others and get out in nature! This provision is aimed at those 11-16 years, with disabilities and/ or additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, and is available for children without an official diagnosis. Short Breaks aims to increase activity opportunities for children and young people with disabilities. It provides a break for parents/carers while their child takes part in a safe, fun, and enjoyable activity. Sessions run on most alternative Mondays - 4:30-5:30pm. Admission Prices (per visit) – £5.00 per child per session.

Monkey Haven
You can stroll around the Haven at your leisure. There’s information at each enclosure to tell you about the amazing animals. Or pop along to the Keeper Talks to find out even more. Our Quiet Hour is a time for people with hidden disabilities and additional needs, such as autism, to enjoy the Haven. The Quiet Hour is from 9am to 10am on Wednesdays and Saturdays, with the aim of making Monkey Haven more accessible to everyone. Our doors open at 10am to all visitors, and anyone who has come for the Quiet Hour is welcome to stay on for as long as they wish. Some of our resident monkeys love to sing and can be a bit noisy. We can supply ear defenders to anyone who needs them. The number of visitors during Quiet hour is limited to 5 groups, with up to 5 members per group. Normal entrance fees apply, with free entry for a carer (please bring appropriate documentation). Booking is essential as spaces are limited. Please book online. The park is on a slight slope. Flat, wide pathways (1800mm across) allow close access to the animals and birds. There are a few steps to get to various areas – but you will always have an alternative method of access via a ramp or slope. Benches and seating areas are situated at regular intervals throughout the park.

ADVENTURE: Children are guaranteed to have fun by challenging themselves in a safe and supervise space. They encourage those they support to try something new. RECREATIONAL: They recognize that recreational activities offers many physical, mental and social benefits. They ensure there is a reasonable balance of soothing and activity of interest for children. EDUCATIONAL: All activities and support is aiming at learning. They aim for children to be able to expand their knowledge, develop new skills and mode behaviour.

Jennie’s Children’s Trust
Families enjoy a week at Timber Hill in self-contained lodges which sleeps 6, so that they can bring extended family members if they wish. Set in a picturesque valley within a short walk of the fabulous Broad Haven beach in West Pembrokeshire, it is a very safe environment which allows children to be ‘free range’. The fantastic team of volunteers are on hand to support whenever and however it is needed. They lend a listening ear, give a warm smile, play with the children, provide activities for the children or assist with fun outings such as horse riding, boat trips and visits to local attractions. Wet suits are provided for warmth and protection on the beach along with other play equipment such as buckets and spades. To enjoy a week with Jennie's Children's Trust, please note that they are unable to take direct requests for a respite break. All requests must come through a professional body, from whom you are receiving support. Please ask them to contact Jennie's Children Trust directly on your behalf for consideration. They then consider the medical condition and needs of the child and the family to ensure they can provide suitable support.
