Family Based Short Breaks Team
The Family Based Short Breaks Team offers a regular overnight or weekend breaks in another family home to children or young people with disabilities. Eligible children and young people will have been assessed as needing this service through a social work assessment by the Disabled Children's Social Work Team (DCT). Family Based Short Breaks gives the child an opportunity to meet new friends and have some fun while giving the family valuable time to relax and recharge their batteries. This service is free.

Afasic England
Afasic is the UK charity representing children and young people with speech, language and communication difficulties, working for their inclusion in society and supporting their parents and carers. They help provide information and support to children, young people, and families affected by Speech, Language and Communication Needs. Their current services include: - Providing a confidential, specialist telephone helpline service for carers and parents - Organising online courses for parents of children diagnosed with Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) - Organising courses for children with Speech, Language, and Communication Needs who are leaving Primary School and starting Secondary School - Providing priority information on new/updated publications and events across the UK - Information booklets that can be purchased from the website, to help with things such as Accessing Speech and Language Therapy or Claiming Benefits https://afasic.org.uk/shop/ The service is free and anyone with a query regarding children and young people with speech and language impairments can use this service. There is no referral required.

Aberdeen Park Nursery
Aberdeen Park Nursery is for children aged 6 months to 4 years. The nursery has a lovely baby room with its own outdoor space; one large, light and airy room for 2 to 3-year olds to play and learn with lots of cosy spaces, and a third room that they use for small group activities and learning experiences; an exciting garden for outdoor learning and a great family atmosphere. They aim to meet children's social, emotional, physical and intellectual needs in a safe, friendly environment. They value parents and carers input and make every endeavour to work in partnership with them. Children learn through play and by exploring and developing their individual interests. The setting welcomes children with SEND and they are committed to working with parents and other professionals to provide good inclusive practice. The Islington link Area SENCO provides support, advice and training re children with SEND. One staff member has attended PECS; Sensory Circuits training; Speech and Language development training. One staff member has gained a Level 3 SENCO certificate and a second staff member is currently studying it. They have experience in working with a range of SEN needs, e.g. autistic spectrum condition, complex syndromes/disorders etc. Short term plans are in place and children’s needs are met by planning focus learning experiences that support children’s learning and development. Fees are on a sliding scale depending on household income and age of child.

Palace for All (0-5s SEND Stay and Play)
Palace for All is a place for children of all abilities, their parents, carers and their families. You and your children can play in a safe, supportive environment. Meet other parents to share experiences and knowledge. PALACE - Play and Learn and Creative Education - is a parent-led organisation for children of all ages and abilities, their carers and families, and a place where you can drop-in and meet in a friendly and stimulating environment. They offer services, activities and events to help special needs children with a range of physical and learning disabilities reach their potential while also supporting their families, carers, relatives and friends. Reflexology Sessions for children are available on those days. Accessible toilets are available. This service is for children with special needs and their families. There is no 'catchment area'. Referral is not required. You can drop-in and visit or ring and make an appointment.

Centre 404 – Days Opportunities
Centre 404 is a charity that offers friendly, reliable and person centred support to people with learning disabilities, autism and their families. Centre 404's Day Opportunities service aims to promote a person centred vision to empower and enable individuals to lead a life that is truly their own. Inclusion is at the heart of the service and each person has their own weekly timetable based on their goals and interests. Service User’s are supported to use public transport where possible to access the Day Opportunities service to increase and encourage independence. Activities involves: - Sports and Fun. - Using and developing skills. - Sensory Activities. The service runs during the weekdays (Monday-Friday) from 10am-3pm. It offers a mixture of community and centre based activities. The Day Opportunities service currently runs at three locations: - Centre 404 on Camden Road (currently under refurbishments). - The Charlie Ratchford Centre in Chalk Farm. - Brickworks Community Centre in Crouch Hill. Centre 404 runs Holiday Play Schemes in Islington and Enfield during the Easter, Summer and Christmas school holidays. Manchester Youth Zone is a fully inclusive centre which offers a safe space that young people can come to after school, meet positive role models, get something warm and nutritious to eat, and most importantly have fun! Sunday sessions from 12pm-3pm cater for young people with additional needs and disabilities up to 25 years old. Carlisle Youth Zone
Carlisle Youth Zone is a purpose-built youth facility, complete with a gym, music room, library, climbing wall, sports hall, café, arts area, dance space, gaming and recreation zones, with a team dedicated of youth workers, volunteers, and mentors who create a fun and safe environment. All sessions are suitable for children and young people however there is an additional quieter, more relaxed session on Saturday mornings 10am - 12pm for disabled and neurodivergent young people. Young people aged 7 to 25 can attend the Inclusion session alongside parents or carers, have fun and enjoy free hot food. The building is wheelchair accessible, has a disabled toilet, sensory room, hearing loops in various rooms and staff trained to support young people with visual impairments.
